This exhibition is considered by everyone in the business as the most important in our sector. We have been present since 1978, always with a bigger stand than in the previous edition, and always with more equipment on show. This can be taken as an indication of our growth in the market, as well as of the constant technical development that has been achieved over the years.
For our customers it is a unique opportunity to find out about the latest technical developments and to stimulate and compare new ideas.
Our theme for Interpack 2005 is innovation and continuity: innovation through the presentation of our latest wire cut, suitable for added-value products. Continuity by the presence of 1500 mm-wide forming equipment for cracker production, which reconfirms the leading role of Imaforni in this sector, and the Depositor machine for soft dough.
Innovation in wire cutting can be seen in the 3Extruder, consisting of 3 heads wire cut machine included in one unit. It can produce either three-color dough products or plain single-color dough pieces. A great
variety of two-color doughs of different shapes and patterns can be produced as well. When equipped with a crimping device, it becomes possible to produce one- or two-color dough with a soft encapsulated center filling of cream or jam. A further possibility is the production of fruit bars where the external part may be in two differen tdough colors while the filling may be cream or jam. Now a really flexible tool is in the hands of those bakers who intend to increase their range of products with a new variety of added-value products. With just one machine you can make the full range of traditional wire-cut biscuits as well as products of different colors or with different combinations of dough, cream or jam in the same piece! Making no speed compromises, on wire-cut configuration, it can run up to 300 stroke/min. Our test center is equipped with the 3Extruder followed by a 18 m.
long band oven where you can try out all your new ideas.
The unit is very simple to regulate as all movements are made by dedicated servomotors. A user-friendly “touch screen” operator interface ensures flexible control of all the possible adjustments on the machine. Due to the design of the unit, accessibility and clean-up activities are extremely easy.
The Depositor machine is also on display at the stand. This is used for depositing soft dough, regularly shaped or twisted; when installed, the wire-cut mechanism allows the production of plain cookies or dough pieces with chocolate chips or other insertions. The “one nozzle one pump” concept guarantees uniform weight distribution of dough pieces across the width. A PLC control system with recipe storage features, ensures flexibility of production and is a user-friendly tool to help the operator make adjustments. A jelly topper can be installed to enhance the variety of added-valued products which can be formed by this unit.
Providing continuity, a forming line for cracker, 1500 mm wide with a vertical cut & sheet laminator, 3 sets of gauge rolls, rotary cutting machine and a scrap pick-up system is on display. You can appreciate its clean design, and our attention to accessibility and hygiene.
